What is the meaning of the Greek eye?
Often called "mati" or "mataki", the primary purpose of the Greek eye is not decorative. It is there to protect and ward off the effects of the evil eye. It is very often represented by a set of circles: dark blue for the outside, white or light blue in the middle, then black (like the pupil) right in the center.
