What is the meaning of the Greek evil eye?
Often called "mati" or "mataki", the main purpose of the Greek evil eye is not decorative. It is there to protect and ward off the effects of the evil eye. It is very often represented by a series of circles: dark blue for the outside, white or light blue in the middle, then black (like the pupil) right in the center.
